Lucis Trust openly traces its history to the Lucifer Publishing Company, describes an Arcane School for meditation and spiritual development, and speaks about a capital P Plan, a Spiritual Hierarchy, and a coming World Teacher. The United Nations civil society database also lists Lucis Trust Association with ECOSOC roster consultative status since 1989. That does not mean Lucis Trust controls the United Nations, but it does mean Christians should take its public teachings seriously instead of dismissing them as a fringe internet theory.

What concerns me most is the spiritual substitution. Lucis Trust uses language about light, love, peace, unity, and “the Christ,” but its World Teacher can be known across religions as the Christ, Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, the Bodhisattva, or the Messiah. Scripture does not present Jesus as one name among many. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and the Bible warns about false christs, another Jesus, another spirit, and another gospel. We do not need panic or exaggeration. We need to test the spirits, hold fast to Scripture, and recognize that deception can come dressed in light.
